Neighborhood Focus: Lakeview, Chicago

Lakeview, Chicago is home to many large cultural and residential areas. Starting at Diversey Avenue , west to Ravenswood Avenue, north to Montrose Avenue and south to Irving Park Road, Lakeview holds a lot of what us local Chicagoan’s and tourists hold dear.

Lakeview is home to various area’s that each possess their own charm. Lakeview East, Southport Corridor and Wrigleyville are all essential areas in the city of Chicago.

Lakeview East - Situated north of Diversey, east of Racine and South of Irving Park Road this area in Lakeview is close to Lake Michigan and Lincoln park making it a walker or bikers dream location. Featuring some of the areas best restaurants and comedy clubs the night life in Lakeview East is second to none. Some notable restaurants include:

Ann Sather: This breakfast spot is known throughout the area to have some of the best food around. Eggs, bacon and more at exceptionally competitive prices. Don’t miss out on what they are most know for, their amazing cinnamon rolls!

Crisp: A must try if you are a chicken wing enthusiast. This restaurant features Korean style wing sauces that are different from your usual wing spot. The wings are crispy and delicious and a must try!

Southport Corridor - Located to the west of Lakeview East this area features much of Lakeviews shopping. Just a short walk from Lakeview East Southport Corridor has its fair share of dining as well.

Tango Sur

Tango Sur: A BYOB Argentinian steak house is sure to wow. Featuring massive portions of incredible food this restaurant is one of my Chicago favorites.

Southport Lanes & Billiards: The only Chicago based manual stack bowling alley. Featuring a pool hall, good food and bowling with a twist this restaurant and bar is a great spot with lots to do.

Wrigleyville Chicago

Wrigleyville: Home of the Chicago Cubs, this part of Lakeview has a fun past and a bright future. Wrigleyville has recently been going through large scale changes. New hotels, restaurants and buildings have all been added to the area to bring more life an vigor to the Cubs franchise.

Lakeview, Chicago is a fantastic and ever changing area with a lot going for it. Check it out on your next time in Chicago or if you are up in the area, it’s worth it!
